October 4, World Animal Day

This Tuesday, October 4, World Animal Day is celebrated. The origin of this day, born in the 20s of the last century, is found in Germany. The writer and editor of the magazine Mensch und Hund (Man and Dog), Heinrich Zimmermann, organized this first Day to raise awareness about the importance of animals, which play a major role in shaping the planet's biodiversity and also in society.

In Sustainability for all we take this opportunity to compile in this gallery some of our publications dedicated to animals.

Charles Darwin and the love for animals

Charles Robert Darwin (1809-1882) was an English naturalist now regarded as the father of evolutionary biology. His studies on natural selection are unanimously accepted by the scientific community since the 30s of the last century as the primary explanation of the theory of evolution.
